Oh dear … more trouble for GlaxoSmithKline!!! Will they ever get something right?
This time it’s in France ….
The French Conseil de la Concurrence has fined GlaxoSmithKline €10m (£6,797,000) ($13,373,000) for predatory pricing. The national authority found that GSK sold its antibiotic, Zinnat, to French hospitals below cost in 1999 and 2000 to force its competitor, Flavelab (the producer of a generic antibiotic), to leave the market. The Conseil de la Concurrence found that once the competitor had quit the market, GSK recuperated the costs of its strategy through significant price increases.
